ALONE, 8"x8"
This piece is a part of the subconscious awareness quarantine series of simple but powerful drawings using ink, acrylic, and pencil on watercolor paper, and stream of consciousness poetry. This series reflects a type of meditative drawing and the intuitive playfulness of the Dada movement.
This one of a kind artwork includes:
8”x8” painting on watercolor “postcard”
handwritten poem on the back with signature
typed poem & “quarantine manifesto”
50% of proceeds go to Black Lives Matter to support systematic change
____________
ALONE
Around me are arms
And saying worthwhile things like
“You aren’t crazy” and
“Please be still”
I don’t know why they always
Come a little too late
To be helpful
Why does it seem my place
Is never on their side
But here alone
Receiving and giving
The time to be one
And always forever
Alone
