____________

ALONE

Around me are arms

And saying worthwhile things like

“You aren’t crazy” and

“Please be still”

I don’t know why they always

Come a little too late

To be helpful

Why does it seem my place

Is never on their side

But here alone

Receiving and giving

The time to be one

And always forever

Alone
